One of the latest timepieces to hit Stuhrling Original’s 2011 collection, the Patriarch makes for a beautiful addition to your boardroom timepieces. Richly stamped with a guilloche solei pattern, this watch features a minute hand on the main dial and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. Although you may assume that the window at 12 o’clock displays the date at first, it is really a functioning hour window! For those who aren’t familiar with such a movement, it will take some getting used to, but there’s no mistake about it: this timepiece can potentially be the most unique watch you’ll ever wear.

I got the rosetone with gray dial and I love it. It has the feel of 1930’s art deco. My wife says when she sees it she is reminded of the Empire State Building. I think of the Chrysler Building and old tube radios that were in everybodys living rooms in the 30s.

They say 45mm but it looks bigger to me. I would of guessed 48mm. Howard

This would look absolutely amazing with a traditinal three hand design and roman numerals. Possibly remove the red second markers too..

I would not add a thing. It is just beautiful the way it is and really easy to read the time. Howard

This quickly became my favorite. Stuhrling offers unusual movements at reasonable prices.
