San Marco
The San Marco is a veteran member of Stuhrling Original’s collection, and it’s a special timepiece in that it represents an old world style. We start with a square case of modest size, an uncommon occurrence in today’s watch world, made from solid bars of 316L surgical grade stainless steel, and we use that to house a mechanical automatic movement. What this means is that there are no batteries, no computer chips; the driving force for the functionality of this watch is made up from the sum of its parts. The reason why the San Marco is an “old world” design is because the crown is not placed at 3 o’clock, but instead at 12 o’clock, the way they used to make timepieces centuries ago! Along with the classic three-hand movement, this timepiece includes a complication rarely seen: a power reserve indicator. In addition, you will also find a date window and an animated AM/PM indicator.
